Playmobil Western Train for Back to the Future?

posted by Playmobil Bello - January 28, 2022

The official Playmobil Facebook page just posted two pictures of one awesome Back to the Future scene from the movies, featuring a brand new “Steamy Mary” western train!

Could this be a hint that they are planning to relaunch the Train? I sure hope so! I am sure thousands of playmobil fans would be buying this immediately upon relase!

The delorean in front of the train already received rail tires in order to be used like this. Maybe it is only a matter of time to see the awesome most wanted announcement of the train relaunch.

Playmobil 4032 Steaming Mary Western Train

The most wanted Playmobil Western Train around the world today: The 4032 Steaming Mary. This train can sell for around $600.00 to 1.200 USD depending on the state of the Train.

Why is this set so wanted? Because it is the coolest looking Western Train that playmobil ever made, unfortunately they didn’t relaunch this set (at least not so far) making it a rare set to find.

Being such an old Train set, the back of the box does not show the contents of the set, so here it is a photo of the inside of the train set box so you can see somewhat what you get.

Playmobil 4001 Western Passenger Train

posted by Playmobil Bello - January 15, 1988

This Western Passenger Train by Playmobil, set number 4001 was the second train ever released by Playmobil, it was numbered 4001, 4002, 4003 and 4004 depending on what year it was released. They were absolutely identical, just different box numbers.

Playmobil did not manufacture the train rails, they were licensed and sold to Playmobil so they could use with their trains by LGB, scale G at 600mm. If you ever want to buy more train rails and can’t find them, just search for the “LGB G Scale 600mm rails” and you will get a ton! They are exactly the same, made by the same manufacturer.

Above you can see a opened box with all the accessories inside, playmobil would pack the LGB train rails inside a blue box labeled Playmobil, followed by a box with the transformer and cables to connect to the train rails.
